    KAREN'S BIOGRAPHY:



    Karen Pokorney is known as the “ENERGIZED” Realtor, and if you have ever met her, you would know why. A real estate agent since 1993, Karen was named Top Sales Agent in the state of Illinois by Realty Executives from 1994 to 1999.



    In 1999, Karen and her husband of 30 years, Brad, moved to Arizona with their five children (that’s right, five children) leaving behind not only the wind and cold weather, but a booming real estate business. A move she has not once regretted to this day.



    When the real estate market changed in 2007, so did Karen’s strategy and work model. While the Arizona real estate market wasn’t kind to many for a few years, Karen continued to remain a top producing real estate professional in the challenging Arizona landscape. She even received the Executive Club and Diamond awards since 2002.



    Karen attributes her real estate success to hard work and a dedication to her clients. While other agents were dropping out of the real estate business, Karen was determined to thrive in a down market. Learning the short sale market and becoming an experienced short sale negotiator, she has successfully closed on many short sale transactions.



    As a credit to her knowledge and professionalism, Karen has repeatedly been asked to speak on various panels and discussion forums amongst her peers. With the belief that you can never have too much knowledge, Karen continually attends various classes and seminars, and has earned both the ABR (Accredited Buyer Representative), CRS (Certified Residential Specialist), CNE (Certified Negotiation Expert) & CSSN (Certified Short Sale Negotiator) designations. She is also obtaining the CDPE (Certified Distressed Property Expert) designation.



    Karen is now a grandmother of five. When she is not out selling homes, Karen enjoys bowling, Bunco, going to the movies, working out, and reading. Her addiction to silent auctions demands her to keep her friends close by when she attends fundraisers, and is absolutely forbidden from ever bidding on a live animal again!
